About Us

Introducing our White Cross Vets Tividale practice where you’ll find a team of pet-loving experts waiting to help take care of your dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets.

Learn more about your local White Cross Vets...

We’re White Cross Vets – a friendly practice that has been providing care for pets for more than 80 years.

Our Regent Road practice in Tividale is open six days a week – from Monday to Friday 8.30am to 7pm and on a Saturday from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

At our Tividale practice we’re dedicated to setting the standards for pet care. We were the first practice in the country to regularly play music designed to reduce stress for cats and dogs in our wards.

Our team understands the importance of a family pet because we have pets ourselves – between us we have just about every pet you could think of, everything from a snake to a parrot! We’re an active bunch and many of us like going to the gym to balance out the biscuits!

Our student nurse Katie is always on the go and competes with her horse Brie, and her dog Stanley has performed at Crufts.

You can see what the team has been up to and meet some of our gorgeous patients on our Facebook page.

Services

Our Tividale vet practice is well kitted out to give your pet the highest possible level of care. The facilities we have include an operating theatre, x-ray, in-house laboratory (meaning results will be turned around in hours rather than days), blood pressure monitor and separate dog and cats wards.

Our surgery has been designed to make your pet’s visit as comfortable and stress free as possible. We use a combination of pheromones, special lighting and music designed to keep your pet feeling calm.

If you would like to talk to someone about your pet, please give our team a call on 01384 884 141.

Community work

We do everything we can to give back to the communities we serve and encourage our team to make a difference by giving them five ‘donation days’ each year for them to spend time volunteering. Client care co-ordinator Laura uses her donation days to volunteer at a local Brownie unit and help out at their Brownie camp in Malvern. Head nurse Millie uses her charity days to support a tea and cake evening at a local care home.

We’re proud to be able to say that we treat all school pets and wildlife for free and we help to educate the pet owners and vets of the future whenever we can. Client care co-ordinator Laura and vet Alex have visited nearby Westminster School in Rowley Regis to talk about caring for animals and about life in a veterinary practice.

We also support Cats Protection and Guide Dogs for the Blind and, because we care for those who care, we offer a 10% discount to all employees of the NHS, emergency services and armed forces to say thank you for all that they do.

Local area

Our Tividale practice is located on the corner of Regent Road and Oakham Road, opposite Oakham Surgery, next to the Co-op and the best fish and chip shop in Dudley (in our opinion anyway!), Starfish. Tividale Pharmacy is also very close by. There is plenty of free parking right outside the practice.

We look after pets and their owners from the surrounding communities including Dudley, Halesowen and Quinton.

While you’re in the area if you’re looking for somewhere to walk your dog, we are spoiled for choice with lovely outdoor spaces. Clients recommend Warrens Hall with its 17 hectares of grasslands, hedgerows, pools, streams and canals; 18th century Himley Hall with Capability Brown landscaped grounds; and Haden Hill park with a children’s play area and 55 acres of parkland. Other local outings for all the family include Warley Wood park and golf course, Saltwells Local Nature Reserve where you can spot many species of wild birds and plants and Sandwell Valley Country Park.

Out of hours service

As a pet owner, you’re never off duty. That’s why care is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year through our trusted out-of-hours service partner.

Pet dental services: dental care for dogs, cats and rabbits

We recommend you should have your pet’s teeth examined by one of our team on a regular basis. As many conditions are progressive, early identification is important.

A full dental check is included free with our Complete Wellness Plan.

If necessary, this should be followed up with a professional dental clean. Our team will then remove the tartar above and below the gumline and polish them, just like a dentist does for our teeth.

If certain teeth are so severely affected they cannot be saved, extractions will be necessary. Pets are usually able to go home on the same day.

– Dental health checks £FREE

– Dental ultrasonic cleaning and polishing £99
This price includes: general anaesthetic, fluids and medication

– Dental with extractions (all-inclusive) £299
This price includes: blood tests, general anaesthetic, fluids, medication and unlimited digital dental X-rays

– Rabbit dental package (all-inclusive) £120
This price includes: general anaesthetic, fluids, medication, dental X-rays and post op feeding

Our all-inclusive dental packages give you peace of mind that you can provide your pet with the best dental care without being surprised by any hidden costs. Please note that all pets on the Complete Wellness Plan will receive 20% off all dental procedures.

For more information on caring for your pets, including tips on good pet dental care and how to clean your pet’s teeth, read our advice pages.
