About Us

A very warm welcome to our Bloxwich, Walsall vet practice. Our friendly and expert team are dedicated to helping you look after your dogs, cats, rabbits and other pets.

Learn more about your local White Cross Vets...

White Cross Vets is a friendly veterinary practice that has been caring for pets for more than 80 years.

Our Bloxwich, Walsall practice is based on Leamore Lane and is open six days a week. We’re open from 8.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday.

We’re a friendly team that works, sings and socialises together. Every member of our team has a pet of their own – all of which are enrolled in the practice’s Complete Wellness Plan because we believe it has the best level of care for our pets. We know how important pets are and how best to look after them, so we can help our clients look after their pets too.

All White Cross team members are given two fully paid ‘peternity days’ to help them settle any new pets into their home.

Find out what the team has been up to, and who’s been in to visit us on the practice’s own Facebook page.

Services

You’ll find that our Bloxwich, Walsall vet practice is well stocked with the latest equipment in the industry. Onsite, we have an operating theatre, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory (so results take minutes rather than days) and a blood pressure monitor.

The clinic was designed to help all pets feel as comfortable as possible so we have separate waiting areas for cats and pheromone diffusers to reduce stress levels. Our cat friendly ambassador is our head nurse, Laura.

Our versatile and well-trained team have a broad range of skills and interests which include clinic director and vet Kathryn who has a certificate in surgery. Vet Becky is highly skilled at using our ultrasound machine to diagnose patients whilst vet Laura has a keen interest in ophthalmology.

Please call 01922 667 010 to speak to a member of our team if you have any concerns about your pet.

Community work

We’re committed to giving back to our local community and you’ll find members of our team out and about doing what they can to help pets in need.

We encourage our team to make a difference to our community by giving every team member five ‘donation days’ each year so that they can spend time volunteering for a charitable cause of their choice. Clinic director Kathryn, for example, volunteers as a vet for Riding for the Disabled throughout the year. Veterinary nurse Michelle uses her donation days to help out at Sandbank Nursery School in Walsall and client care co-ordinator Liz uses her days to help out at a local dogs’ shelter by cleaning kennels and walking dogs.

We’re proud to be able to say that we treat all school pets and wildlife for free and help out local fostering and rehoming charity Tracy’s Cats Kitty by looking after the cats in their care, as well as acting as a drop off site for donations.

And, because we care for those who care, we offer a 10% discount to all employees of the NHS, emergency services and armed forces to say thank you for all that they do.

Local area

Our Bloxwich, Walsall practice cares for dogs, cats and all family pets in the nearby communities of Bloxwich, Walsall, Willenhall, Leamore and Bracknell.

We’re easy to spot – we share a car park with KFC and there is free parking right outside the practice for our clients. Nearby you’ll find Castle Business & Enterprise College and Odell Road Playing Fields.

If you’re looking for somewhere your dog can stretch it legs, there are some excellent dog walking routes in the area. Pet dental services: dental care for dogs, cats and rabbits

We recommend you should have your pet’s teeth examined by one of our team on a regular basis. As many conditions are progressive, early identification is important.

A full dental check is included free with our Complete Wellness Plan.

If necessary, this should be followed up with a professional dental clean. Our team will then remove the tartar above and below the gumline and polish them, just like a dentist does for our teeth.

If certain teeth are so severely affected they cannot be saved, extractions will be necessary. Pets are usually able to go home on the same day.

– Dental health checks £FREE

– Dental ultrasonic cleaning and polishing £99
This price includes: general anaesthetic, fluids and medication

– Dental with extractions (all-inclusive) £299
This price includes: blood tests, general anaesthetic, fluids, medication and unlimited digital dental X-rays

– Rabbit dental package (all-inclusive) £120
This price includes: general anaesthetic, fluids, medication, dental X-rays and post op feeding

Our all-inclusive dental packages give you peace of mind that you can provide your pet with the best dental care without being surprised by any hidden costs. Please note that all pets on the Complete Wellness Plan will receive 20% off all dental procedures.

  • "We were recommended to White Cross when our giant schnauzer began to lose weight and we had other concerns that our existing vet didn't seem too concerned about. Although sadly we lost him I believe that James and Alan did all they could for him and his end was comfortable and dignified.
Nothing seemed too much trouble for them and they took the time to explain what was going on. I felt that they genuinely cared for my dog and gave him the best chance possible.
Cassandra on reception was really kind and showed real empathy.

A week later my Mother received a sympathy card which was so thoughtful and kind.

When i turned up i was seen to very quickly. The vet was a very nice gentleman that made a huge fuss over my poorly pup :) he was very quick and quite thorough with examining him and knew exactly what had to be done. Buddy was then taken away for some time to be looked after and when i got him back he was a completely different dog :) he was back to his happy smiley self! And thats just after being with them for an hour :) All of my animals are registered with white cross vets and i have never had any problems whatsoever! You can really tell that the staff love animals and that their main aim is to keep your pet happy and healthy (: i would highly recommend them to anyone! A huge big thanks from me and buddy! :D ?"

  • "I recently contacted white cross vets leamore with regards registering my cat with them, and the receptionist on the phone was great, very helpful. I had my cat registered with another vets practice, but was very disheartened with the service I was getting of late with them.
I went straight to the vets practice at white cross and completed the paperwork there and then. I took my cat next day to get his claws clipped, and again great service from the receptionist and the nurse who carried out the treatment. Can't fault any of them at the practice that I met, so hopefully my cat will feel at ease with them, and hope this great service continues x"
