We’re pleased to welcome you to White Cross Vets Wolverhampton where our friendly and expert team are dedicated to providing care for your dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets.
Read on to find out all you need to know about your local White Cross Vets practice…
You’ll find that our super modern Wolverhampton vet practice has all the latest veterinary equipment on hand to help treat your pets – why not take a virtual tour so you can see around the practice for yourself? We have an operating theatre, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory to help us diagnose your pet quickly, separate dog and cat wards, blood pressure monitor and ultrasound facilities. The clinic was designed to help all pets feel as comfortable as possible and keep their stress levels at a minimum.
Our team has a diverse range of skills and interests including vet Rosie who performs orthopaedic work, veterinary nurse Rachel who specialises in cat behaviour and the team also runs nursing clinics.
Please call 01902 599 880 to speak to a member of our team if you have any concerns about your pet.
At our Wolverhampton vet practice, we’re committed to giving something back to the people and animals of our local community.
We’re proud to be able to say that we treat all school pets and wildlife for free and nurse Rachel visits local pre-schools, schools and beaver groups to talk about responsible pet ownership. We’re always looking to build relationships with local primary schools so if you’d like us to come in and talk to your pupils – or if a group would like to visit the practice – please get in touch.
We also visit secondary schools, including Ounsdale High School in Wombourne, to talk about careers in the veterinary industry.
We encourage our team to go out into the community and make a difference by giving every team member five ‘donation days’ each year so that they can spend time volunteering for a charitable cause of their choice. And, to say thank you to those who care, we offer a 10% discount to all employees of the NHS, emergency services and armed forces.
Our White Cross Vets Wolverhampton practice looks after the dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets belonging to the communities of Wolverhampton, Wombourne, Sedgley and Kingswinford.
You’ll find our practice located to the south east of Wolverhampton – just head down the A449 Penn Road from the city centre. We’re conveniently located on Penn Road itself, inside the old Blockbusters, opposite Tesco Express and nearby you can find a great range of places to eat and drink, plus Penn Post Office and Lloyds Pharmacy. There’s plenty of free parking right outside the practice.
If you’re looking for somewhere nearby where your dog can stretch its legs and get some fresh air, try the South Staffs railway walk which runs from Wolverhampton’s Aldersley Stadium to Himley, then continues as the Kingswinford railway walk to Pensnett near Dudley, passing through Wombourne. You can stop off for a full English breakfast or tea and cake at The Railway Cafe in Wombourne during your walk. Alternatively, try the Cotwall End Nature Reserve or the National Trust’s Wightwick Manor and Gardens.
We know that caring for a pet is a round-the-clock responsibility. That’s why we provide care 24 hours per day, seven days a week, 365 days a year through our trusted out-of-hours service partner.

"I cannot speak highly enough of Rosie and the rest of the team at Whitecross, Wolverhampton. Rosie worked her magic on our elderly beagle cross, Holly and gave us extra precious time with our much loved little girl, which, I know, having been elsewhere in the past, a vet has looked at our elderly dogs, shook their head and made the 'diagnosis', they're old - in other words, its the end. Rosie never did that, she never gave up on Holly to the last. She's even marvelous with our boisterously bonkers German Shepherd - he actually behaves himself for Rosie. A miracle in itself. I would say, if you love your pet, take him or her to Rosie, she will always do her best, and nobody has ever looked after my dogs better. Thank you Rosie."
"Despite other practices being closer to home, I recently made the decision to visit this practice in order to reconnect with Rosie (whom had previously been the veterinarian at my local vets).
Not only had Rosie always treated both my German Shepherd (Sadie) and I with the upmost respect and humility; displaying professionalism and the human/animal touch in equal measure. She had always delivered outstanding care; often going above and beyond. Indeed, whilst most veterinarians’ appear to scoff at the thought, had it not been for Rosie’s advice to start a raw diet, my pooch (who suffers from IBD) may not have lived (and indeed thrived!) in quite the way she has these last few years.
Thus, when I was recently given the devastating news from a veterinarian at another practice that Sadie (who has just turned 13!) had liver cancer and, as such, had a very short time left to live. I decided to take Sadie back to a veterinarian whom I both trust and felt comfortable with.
Although, I had initially made the appointment to see Rosie with the foresight of having to have Sadie euthanised (and as such, simply wanting to feel as comfortable as possible in already difficult circumstances). Repeat blood tests and follow-up investigations by Rosie have since revealed a probable misdiagnosis; which thankfully now means I should have my canine companion for a little longer yet!
Thus, whilst I can’t speak for the other veterinarians at the practice (as I’m yet to see another). I can say that if you want to see a compassionate veterinarian; whom not only delivers exceptional care, but isn’t afraid to think innovatively outside of the box. Then look no further!"
"The team at white cross wolverhampton have truly won Meg my lab over after having a real fear of the vets thank you."
"Unfortunately, in December, we had to have our cat, Saphi who was nearly 17, put to sleep. Rosie has looked after Saphi for many years and when we took her on her final journey, Rosie and the rest of the staff couldn't have been kinder. Their compassion came from the heart and made a very difficult time a little easier. We are still visiting White Cross in Wolverhampton with our other cat, Truffles, who is 17 and I am confident that she will be very well looked after."
"Highly recommended lovely vets recently changed over from another vets as I was very impressed with the Vet James and other members of staff. Highly recommended."
"Recently registered my cat James with this surgery who had to have a tumor removed and from the beginning both me and James were treated so well by everyone there. The girls on reception and the vet James are absolutely amazing and treated my James like a little human being and were so friendly with him, really made him feel at home. Unfortunately not long after his surgery James passed away which was devastating for me, but again the staff at white cross were amazing and really looked after me, even sending me a sympathy card and forget me not flower seeds. I can't thank you guys enough for everything you did and most of all for treating James like a little prince. Thank you xx"
"First visit today with our little narla. Can't fault this place at all made me and my partner feel so at ease with narlas first jabs. Staff there are very reassuring. "I took my pug today for X-rays and I was so happy with how he and I were treated. Staff were very friendly and my pug came bouncing out as happy as he went in! So nice to visit a vet that doesn't hate pugs! Thank you everyone!"
"White Cross Vets are great, all staff are really friendly. Most importantly their first aim is care for your pet (rather than money). I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else, ever."
"We took our poorly Rabbit, Bailey here. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to him after everyone doing their best . Appointments were never rushed and James the vet along with all the other staff were lovely yet very professional. They seemed to care. It helped a very difficult time to be a little easier. We miss him so much .
We will return with our puppy in July when we have him or her. Thankyou. X"

"Very happy with service at White Cross.
Large open plan reception area so you're not literally sitting on a cat basket whilst trying to stop your Westie being mauled by a Tea cup Yorkie with a chip on their shoulder. ;) We were given a tour of the building and every possibility has been thought out and catered for. Even CD's to help soothe dogs and cats if they have bed and breakfast booked!
James really listened and seemed to care about Lola's skin problem and I shall be back next week to book her immunisation for £10 which is amazing value.
It's great to have another Vet in the area and really do recommend them wholeheartedly.
Thanks again"
